ISC Selected for Urban Regional Evacuation Plan

ISC was selected by the Mid-America Regional Council to develop a Mass Evacuation Plan for the Kansas City Region. The predominant goal of the Evacuation Plan is to provide a coordinated strategy to evacuating large numbers of persons from one area of the Kansas City Metro region to another area within the region following a disaster. This coordinated approach recognizes inter-dependencies when multiple jurisdictions are involved in evacuation operations and avoids duplication of effort, maximizes resources, provides the public with consistent emergency messaging, and provides a framework for coordinating evacuation operations.
