ISC Selected by Tribal Advisory Network

ISC was selected by the Tribal Solid Waste Advisory Network (TSWAN), a nonprofit corporation comprised of tribes in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska to develop a Tribal Hazardous Contingency and Response Plan Template for tribes. This TSWAN project is unique and unprecedented as it specifically targets sovereign nations and shall be culturally sensitive. Known as THREAT (Tribal Hazardous Response and Emergency Activation Team) the finished template shall be a written emergency procedures plan which describes the actions to be taken to minimize hazards from fires, explosions or unplanned releases of hazardous waste to air, soil or water. The provisions of the plan will define a decision-making protocol that would be carried out immediately whenever fires, explosions or releases occur which could threaten human health or the environment.
