ISC staff was awarded the FEMA Region VII Token of Appreciation for Lauren Martin’s continued outstanding service, commitment, and dedication for the response and recovery efforts following the 2008 Midwest Floods. Lauren was initially deployed to Iowa to assist in carrying our nation’s statutory assistance as defined by FEMA’s Public Assistance Program. She quickly became an integral and influential member of FEMA’s Regional disaster recovery team. She is routinely requested by FEMA Regional and Headquarter management to provide programmatic oversight and direct special projects designed to improve FEMA’s capability to deliver its statutory requirements. Lauren has received several letters of commendation from the client as well as FEMA Region VII’s Token of Appreciation, the first ever granted to the FEMA TAC team. Lauren graciously accepted the award and looks forward to working with FEMA in the future.
