ISC conducted a case study research for FEMA HQ that investigates how emergency management can best identify, leverage, and empower the emergent behavior of individuals and groups when catastrophe strikes. This case study explored previous US and international catastrophic events to evaluate areas of success and improvement. The result of this study provided FEMA HQ with recommended actions to improve current emergency management practices and policies.
ISC was among the public and private sector emergency management officials that gathered in San Antonio to exchange ideas and discuss best practices in Texas emergency preparedness. ISC demonstrated its ODYSSEUS technologies and provided best practices how this cutting-edge technology is revolutionizing preparedness programs across the country.
Recognizing ISC’s strength and past experience in regional collaboration programs, ISC was selected to conduct planning activities and provide guidance to South Florida’s Regional Public-Private Partnership. ISC worked collaboratively with the South Florida Disaster Resiliency Coalition and the Counties of Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach to develop and implement strategies to grow the organization’s membership and increase member participation.
