In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey devastated the State of Texas becoming the costliest hurricane to date with an estimated $200 billion in damages. ISC's disaster recovery experts have mobilized to Texas to support local communities, utilities, and other vital critical infrastructure sector assets across eastern Texas and the greater Houston area. ISC provide will provide technical assistance in assessing damages and the delivery of Federal disaster assistance programs, to include FEMA Public Assistance. ISC is proud to be able to help those communities in need.
ISC was recommended for award the re-compete contract for All Hazards Preparedness, Planning, Consulting and Recovery Services by the Houston-Galveston Area Council. H-GAC is the regional organization through which local governments consider issues and cooperate in solving area wide problems. In addition, they administer the HGACBuy program. HGACBuy strives to make the governmental procurement process more efficient by establishing competitively priced contracts for goods and services, and providing the customer service necessary to help its members achieve their procurement goals.
As the Ebola epicenter in the United States, the Dallas and North Central Texas region understand the critical importance of planning for infectious disease. The ISC team was chosen to work with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Health Service Regions (HSR) 2/3 to develop a Regional Infectious Disease Response Coordination Plan and a corresponding tabletop exercise to validate and improve the plan. ISC is proud to collaborate with this experienced team and is excited to begin work on this timely and important project.
