ISC CREATES WEB-BASED COMPLIANCE TOOL
TO TRACK HOSPITAL AND HEALTHCARE PREPAREDNESS
HOSPITALS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES STATEWIDE
The CDC Public Health and Healthcare Preparedness Capabilities provides guidance based on Developing and Maintaining Emergency Operations Plans Comprehensive Preparedness Guide (CPG) 101 (FEMA). These core capabilities assist State and Local Health Departments (LHD) and hospitals in using these capabilities for risk assessment, planning, and training elements.
Integrated Solutions Consulting designed and developed an automated Preparedness Capabilities module for LHDs and hospitals, to enable entities to understand the capabilities at each organizational and operational level. The hospitals and LHDs throughout the state of Illinois have completed these assessments for the last three years. The results of the assessments are reviewed at the local, regional, and state levels to forms a basis for a jurisdiction’s preparedness strategic plan. The assessment and the resulting reports have provided jurisdictions with a comprehensive review and analysis of current planning and training elements against the core capabilities. The analysis provided guidance in prioritization of resources and work plans entering into each grant period.
The CDC Public Health and Healthcare Preparedness Compliance Tool was built into the Odysseus™ Enterprise System (OES), offering the capability to track and cross reference existing plans and other preparedness efforts.
