ISC Develops Interactive Training for Regional Coordination Plan

In conjunction with the development of the 2013 Bi-State Kansas City Regional Coordination Guide (RCG), ISC developed customized interactive course using ISC’s Odysseus|TEAM technologies to assist the region in training its staff and partners on the key concepts operational elements associated with the strategic plan. This training also included a tornado scenario where participants can apply their knowledge of the RCG.

The RCG is an all-hazard, capabilities-based guide designed to address any of the hazards potentially affecting the Kansas City metro-area. The RCG is for use by all local governments, as well as Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to ensure a series of formal actions are in place to facilitate communication and cooperation between the many agencies and organizations in the region potentially involved in emergency events.
